Poco C61 With MediaTek Helio G36 SoC Launched in India

Tuesday, March 26, was the launch day in India for the Poco C61. It seems that the phone is just a rebranded Redmi A3, which was introduced in February in the nation.

The Poco C61’s 6.71-inch HD+ (1,650 x 720 pixels) LCD screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, has a refresh rate of 90 Hz, and supports 180 Hz touch sampling. The MediaTek Helio G36 System on a Chip powers the phone, which comes with up to 128GB of built-in MMC 5.1 storage and 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM. It has a user interface based on Android 14.


The Poco C61’s dual rear camera unit, which uses AI, has an unnamed secondary sensor, an 8-megapixel main sensor, and an LED flash. With a 5-megapixel sensor, the front-facing camera is placed beneath a waterdrop notch.

With 10W wired charging capabilities, the Poco C61 has a 5,000mAh battery. Aside from having two SIM cards, it also has four-G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. In addition to a fingerprint sensor on the side, the phone has a 3.5mm audio connector. It is 168.4 mm x 76.3 mm x 8.3 mm in dimension and weighs 193 g.

The Poco C61 is available in two storage variants in India: 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB. The former costs Rs. 6,999 and the latter Rs. 7,999. Starting March 28 at 12pm IST, the phone will be sold in the country via Flipkart. It comes in three different color options: Ethereal Blue, Mystical Green, and Diamond Dust Black.
