Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Gets One UI 6.1 Update

Samsung has released One UI 6.1 for one more budget device, the Galaxy Tab A9. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 has been officially announced on Oct. 5, 2023. The device is fueled by a non-removable Li-Po 5100 mAh battery + 15W wired. The tablet comes in a dimension of 211 x 124.7 x 8 mm and it is available in several colors: Graphite, Silver, Navy.  Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 consists of a single camera: 8 MP on the rear side while on the front there is a single camera: 2 MP for clicking selfies.

The tablet is powered by the Mediatek MT8781V/CA Helio G99 processor while the GPU is Mali-G57 MC2. The device comes with a display size of 8.7 inches TFT LCD, which has a resolution of 800 x 1340 pixels.  Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 is packed with 4 GB, 8 GB RAM and 64 GB, 128 GB of internal storage.

The Galaxy Tab A9 is also a budget tablet and does not get Galaxy AI features with this update. But still, the update carries many new features that will make your device better and interesting.

The One UI 6.1 update for Galaxy Tab A9 is rolling out in Europe with firmware build X115XXU2BXE2. This is a big update for the device and weighs around 1.5GB. So make sure to use WiFi for downloading the update.

The update was confirmed by a user through a post on the Samsung community page. The screenshot provided by the user confirms that the update comes with the April 2024 Android security patch.

Now talking about new features, you can expect features like frames and effects for wallpapers, create your own custom alert screens, add up to 2 stickers for each date in the calendar, reorder modes, Sync Internet tab groups with other devices, and more. If you have a Galaxy Tab A9, you will receive One UI 6.1 in OTA format. Sometimes, the update notification doesn’t work, so make sure to look for the update manually. You can check for the update by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
