Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE and FE Plus Receives One UI 6.1 update

Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 6.1 update for Galaxy Tab S9 FE and S9 FE Plus.  The company kick-started the rollout campaign for its mid-range phones, including Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy S22, A34, and A54.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus has been officially released on Oct. 16, 2023. A non-removable Li-Po 10090 mAh battery and 45W wired, QC2.0 power the device. The tablet comes in a dimension of 285.4 x 185.4 x 6.5 mm and it weighs 627 g or 628 g. It is built with a glass front, aluminum back, and aluminum frame. The tablet comes in various colors including Mint, Silver, Gray, and Lavender.

It supports IP68 dust/water resistance (up to 1.5m for 30 min) and consists of a single camera: 8 MP (wide) and 8 MP, (ultrawide) on the rear side while on the front there is a single camera: 12 MP (ultrawide) for clicking selfies. The tablet is powered by the Exynos 1380 processor and the tablet comes with a display size of 12.4 inches that has an IPS LCD.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus provides a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels and the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. It is packed with 8 GB, 12 GB RAM and 128 GB, 256 GB internal storage. The sensors include side-mounted fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, compass, and proximity (accessories only).

The update is seeded with the X610XXU3BXE1 software version, with a download size of around 2.5GB. The update is available to the Tab S9 FE+ users in mainland Korea, and it is expected to be released to everyone in the coming days.

The update brings improved gallery search, new lock screen widgets, new wallpaper editing tools, revamped calendar settings, Google Search suggestions inside the finder app, and more.

If you own the Galaxy Tab S9 FE or Tab S9 FE Plus, then you may have already received the update on your device. If not, you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.

Remember to back up your important data before installing the update. No, the update will not erase your data, but take a backup just in case. Also, charge your phone to at least 50%.
