Motorola Edge 20 Fusion Android 13 Update comes after two-year wait Motorola Edge 20 Fusion Android 13 update is been sent to users after waiting for two years of its release. Motorola first released Android 13 in beta for the Edge 20 Fusion in May this year. And after three months of beta testing, the stable Android 13 is finally rolling out for the Edge 20 Fusion.

The Motorola Edge 20 Fusion sports a 6.7-inch OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and a centred camera hole punch. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner,a dedicated Google Assistant button and is IP52 rated. You get a triple camera module at the back which protrudes significantly. Powering the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion is the MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor and it’s paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. Both variants get 128GB of storage. Motorola ships the Edge 20 Fusion with Android 11 and its lightly skinned MyUX interface on top. The UI feels like stock Android and is further customisable. The Motorola Edge 20 Fusion sports a triple camera setup consisting of a 108-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, this phone has a 32-megapixel front camera. Camera performance on the Moto Edge 20 Fusion was good for daylight and closeups. Lowlight camera performance appeared smoothened. The Edge 20 Fusion offer clean Stock Android and will appeal to purists on a budget.

An X user, AnshuTechblog has reportedly received the update in India. The Motorola Edge 20 Fusion Android 13 Update comes with build number T2RK33.146-14-1 and it weighs around 1.64GB. So make sure to use WiFi to download the update. As far as new features go, you get most of the stock Android features that were added to other Android phones two years back. Here is the official changelog (from the screenshot shared on X/Twitter):

  • Customize your apps by color, theme, and language
  • Media player features album artwork and a dancing playback bar
  • Choose what app notifications you receive

These are only the main changes, so you will also get some more features along with the security update. As of now, we don’t have information about the Android security patch. But it should be from the last few months, if not the latest. One thing is clear from all this, don’t get attracted by marketing gimmicks like the number of major Android OS updates. Because you don’t know how long you will have to wait to get the update, even if it is promised. Related
