Xiaomi has begun sending out the stable Android 15-centric HyperOS 2.0 update for the Xiaomi 13T. This update comes two weeks after the launching of the Xiaomi 13T Pro. Following in the footsteps of the Pro model, the update introduces a bevy of new features and refinements, with the exception of the new popular AI functions.
Xiaomi 13T Main Features:
The phone comes in a 6.67-inch size, and the display is AMOLED, which provides a resolution of 1220 x 2712 pixels, is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The display features 68B colors, 144Hz, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, 1200 nits (HBM), and 2600 nits (peak). The device is built with a glass front (Gorilla Glass Victus), ceramic back or silicone polymer back, aluminum frame and supports IP68 dust/water resistant (up to 1.5m for 30 min).
The sensors include under display, optical fingerprint, accelerometer, proximity, gyro, compass, barometer, and color spectrum. The devie is fueled with Li-Po 5000 mAh battery + 67W wired, PD3.0, QC4, 100% in 42 min (advertised). Xiaomi 13T is available in three colors: Alpine Blue, Meadow Green, Black. It is packed with 8 GB, 12 GB RAM while internal storage is 256 GB.
The rear camera comes with 50 MP (wide) + 50 MP (telephoto) + 12 MP (ultrawide) while on the front, there is a single camera: 20 MP (wide). The smartphone features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS (L1+L5), GLONASS (G1), GALILEO (E1+E5a), NavIC (L5), BDS, NFC, and USB Type-C 2.0, OTG.
Xiaomi is pushing the new software upgrade to the 13T with OS2.0.2.0.VMFMIXM. At the time of writing, the update is available to a small set of users, specifically to those who joined the Mi Pilot program. A broader rollout should commence in a matter of time.
The 13T series phones were launched with the Android 13 operating system, hence the Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0 update is the smartphone’s second major OS upgrade. The download size for this update is 6.3GB, same to the first. Please make sure you have adequate data to download it.
The Xiaomi 13T HyperOS 2.0 upgrade includes numerous new features, including as new customization options, updates to the user interface, performance improvements, Circle to Search, and more. Aside from that, the update adds AI-powered capabilities like dynamic backgrounds, AI search, Quick fill, Super Xiao AI, AI painting, voice recognition, translation, and more.
If you own the global variant of Xiaomi 13T, you can navigate to Settings > tap on MIUI banner > Check for Updates > Update Device. In case the update is not yet available on your device, you can wait for a few days.
Before upgrading your device, make sure to back up important data and charge it to at least 50%. If you’re in a hurry, you can sideload the recovery ROM on your device.
