Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: Leaked Dimensions and Expected Features

While the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is still a few months away from its official announcement, a recent leak by reliable leaker Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) has provided a sneak peek into the phone’s dimensions and potential specifications.

Leaked Dimensions

According to the leak, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will measure 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2 mm, making it one of the slimmest Galaxy S-series flagships to date. For comparison, here’s a quick look at the dimensions of flagship Galaxy phones from the past five years:

  • Galaxy S20 Ultra: 166.9 x 76.0 x 8.8 mm
  • Galaxy S21 Ultra: 165.1 x 75.6 x 8.9 mm
  • Galaxy S22 Ultra: 163.3 x 77.9 x 8.9 mm
  • Galaxy S23 Ultra: 163.4 x 78.1 x 8.9 mm
  • Galaxy S24 Ultra: 162.3 x 79.0 x 8.6 mm
  • Galaxy S25 Ultra (Leak): 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2 mm

The leaked dimensions show that the S25 Ultra will be slimmer than most of its predecessors, although it won’t be as thin as the Galaxy S6 at 7mm, which still holds the title of the slimmest Galaxy S-series phone.

Build and Design

  • The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to retain familiar build materials, with titanium frames on the sides and Gorilla Glass for both the front and back, providing a premium and durable feel.
  • The device will likely maintain IP68 dust and water resistance and come with an in-display fingerprint reader for secure access.

Charging and Battery

  • Unfortunately, Samsung appears to be sticking with 45W fast charging, the same technology introduced with the Galaxy S20 Ultra back in 2020. This suggests that no major advancements in charging speeds are expected in the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
  • The battery capacity is also expected to stay at 5,000mAh, reflecting Samsung’s approach to maintaining a balance between performance, battery life, and thermal management.

Camera Upgrades

  • On a more positive note, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to see some camera improvements. While it will retain the 200MP main sensor and dual 50MP telephoto lenses, the ultrawide module is rumored to be upgraded from 12MP to 50MP, which would significantly enhance the quality and detail of wide-angle shots.
  • The selfie camera is expected to remain at 12MP, similar to its predecessor.

Software and Updates

  • The Galaxy S25 Ultra will likely launch with the latest Android 15, customized with Samsung’s One UI 7.1 on top.
  • Samsung continues to lead in software longevity, with the Galaxy S25 Ultra expected to receive seven years of software updates, ensuring it remains up-to-date with new features and security patches for an extended period.
