How To hide icons and widgets Names on Xiaomi Homepage

Both HyperOS and HyperOS 2 offer us a multitude of customization options. These include not only the possibility of adding our name to the status bar to give it a more personal touch but also hiding the names of applications and widgets to achieve a more minimalist desktop.

There is no doubt that the application icons are already quite intuitive, so hiding their names will help us achieve a cleaner, more minimalist, and, why not, personalized look so that our Xiaomi stands out from the rest.

To hide the names of applications or icons, as well as widgets, we will not need to install third-party applications. From the system settings, we can do it in a few minutes, as I tell you below.

Here’s how you can hide the names of your Xiaomi’s app icons.

Hiding the name of icons or applications on a Xiaomi, REDMI, or POCO is very simple. To do this, just follow these steps, whether you have HyperOS or HyperOS 2:

  1. Go to Settings > Home Screen.
  2. Once inside, in the Do not show text section, we will select one of these options:
    • Anywhere: Hide the name of apps and widgets
    • In widgets: hide the name of the desktop widgets.

In this simple way we will be able to give a different touch to the desktop of our Xiaomi, more free of content and minimalist. In addition, HyperOS allows us to differentiate between hiding the name of all the elements or only that of the widgets that, in some cases, break the design.
