Apple Seeds watchOS 11.1 Beta to Developers

After officially releasing watchOS 11 on Monday, Apple has released the first watchOS 11.1 beta to developers. This release comes with new beta versions for tvOS and VisionOS, although iOS 18.1 has been in testing for the past two months. But it’s the first watchOS beta update for developers since the big watchOS 11 upgrade.

The update has a build size of 22R5545g and weighs approximately 458MB, depending on the device. This beta update is currently available to developers and public beta testers are expected to have access to it soon.

How to Install watchOS 11.1 Beta 1

If your Apple Watch is already running watchOS 11 beta, you can easily update to watchOS 11.1 beta 1 by following these steps:

  1. Open the Watch app on your paired iPhone.
  2. Navigate to General > Software Update.
  3. Select Beta Updates, then enable the watchOS 11 Developer Beta option.
  4. Go back and download the first beta of watchOS 11.1.

Ensure that your Apple Watch is:

  • Charged to at least 50%.
  • Connected to a WiFi network.

Once the update has been downloaded and transferred to your Apple Watch, the installation is complete. The watch will restart. And you can explore the new features of watchOS 11.1.
