Apple Releases iOS 18.1 Beta 4 to All Eligible iPhones

After iOS 18 was recently released to the public, Apple has released the iOS 18.1 Beta 4. Made available for all iPhone models eligible to receive the iOS 18 update.

iOS 18.1 Brings Apple Intelligence Features—But Not for Everyone

New Non-AI Features in iOS 18.1 fourth Beta

While the Apple Intelligence features are only available to a select group, the update introduces several non-AI features across all eligible devices:

  • Call recording is now available on older iPhones (not part of Apple Intelligence).
  • iPhone 15 Pro wallpapers have made a return.
  • Control Center now allows users to add third-party apps (if supported).
  • The second page of the Control Center features a redesigned layout with four large square icons and four options in long bar format.
  • The Camera app on older models now includes the ability to pause video recording.
  • Relevant suggestions appear while typing commands to Siri.
  • Search in Photos is now faster and more accurate.

How to Access the iOS 18.1 Beta 4 Update

iOS 18.1 Beta 4 is now available for developers. But public testers will soon have access to it if you’re already using an earlier iOS 18.1 beta. Updates will automatically appear in the Software Update section of Settings.
