Xiaomi has today presented WinPlay, a new virtualization engine that allows us to run Windows games in an innovative way on the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 and, in general, on any other Android tablet with a high-performance processor .
Thanks to the potential of the new HyperOS 2 core, HyperCore, WinPlay allows you to create a virtual environment on the tablet, achieving great performance and stability when running Windows games, especially those found on platforms such as Steam and GOG.
WinPlay has been developed under a three-layer virtualization system to control essential APIs, image rendering and command execution, thereby achieving a perfect user experience. WinPlay manages to get the full potential of our tablet, since only 2.9% of GPU performance is lost to guarantee almost native gaming performance and run titles like Tom Raider with incredible fluidity.
As we can see in the video, WinPlay allows you to run games like Tom Raider or Need for Speed: Most Wanted very smoothly . In addition, this new engine is compatible with a wide variety of peripherals, from mice and keyboards to other devices such as Xbox controllers .
WinPlay is also compatible with the Steam library, which in turn makes it easier for us to access a wide list of games without having to download them. Xiaomi assures that the experience obtained with WinPlay is sublime, managing to offer a performance similar to that offered by a mid-range computer.
At the moment WinPlay is only available for the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 although it is expected that it will gradually expand to other tablets , especially those with higher performance like the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro .
