Xiaomi is already working on HyperOS 2.1 and it seems that it will be an intermediate version that will seek to correct errors and improve the stability of the system. An update that will be deployed very soon but unfortunately will not be available to everyone.
According to XiaomiTime , HyperOS 2.1 will focus on bug fixes but will also incorporate new features . Although its goal is to improve the user experience, the number of new features will be significant.
First details of HyperOS 2.1: new features and compatible mobiles
As we mentioned earlier, HyperOS 2.1 will not only focus on bug fixes, but will also incorporate new features. Among these we find a new set of animations that are much more dynamic and fluid.
In addition, HyperOS 2.1 will implement the new QR reader that we already saw some time ago in one of the latest betas and that will allow us to read a QR code simply by lifting our mobile without having to open the camera or the scanning application.
This new version will also implement new settings for the control center, making it more customizable , a new file transfer system, improvements for the camera and a complete renovation of the Gallery application.
Unfortunately, HyperOS 2.1 won’t be for everyone. This update will only be available on those models that have previously been updated to HyperOS 2 and also have Android 15. Those still on Android 14 will ultimately not receive HyperOS 2.1, so they will not be updated to HyperOS 3 in the future either.
