Xiaomi 14T Pro Update: New Fix Rolled Out After HyperOS 2.1 Bug Report

Xiaomi had released a new Xiaomi 14T Pro update to the 14T Pro units before the latest HyperOS weekly bug report was released. It has been confirmed why the company rolled back the initial HyperOS 2.1 update for the release. The update is rolling out again with a fix for the issue.

Xiaomi 14T was among the first phones to get the Xiaomi 14T Pro update with HyperOS 2.1. Unfortunately, only a few people could install the update. From their feedback, it was discovered that the 2.6x tele lens in Pro mode was broken, and the rollout was halted. It took some time to resolve the problem, and we believe it’s now fixed.

Details of the Xiaomi 14T Pro Update; Camera Lens Issue

Xiaomi 14T Pro had the 2.6x tele lens broken in Pro mode. The problem started after the release of the Xiaomi 14T Pro update featuring HyperOS 2.1, which affected units in Taiwan and Global users. Those builds arrived with version numbers OS2.0.101.0. VNNTWXM and OS2.0.101.0. VNNMIXM, respectively.

Both builds were discontinued, though those in Indonesia are getting the same OS2.0.101.0. update. It seems the camera lens issue has been resolved in that build. Perhaps you should avoid installing it until feedback from the beta testers confirms the build is not buggy.

Meanwhile, if you have issues using the 2.6x tele lens in Pro mode, install the new Xiaomi 14T Pro update. We understand the update is available for global users, and we expect those in Taiwan to be receiving a new update, as well. You can check the updater app instead of waiting for a prompt notification.
