Vivo X Fold 3 And 3 Pro Launched In China With OLED screens

Vivo has unveiled its third-generation X Fold in China today. Two models, the regular and the pro, are available in the X Fold 3 series. Out of the two smartphones with top-tier specs, the second one is the most luxurious option. While there are certain similarities between the two phones, there are also some key distinctions.

Vivo X Fold 3 And 3 Pro Specs

Both the X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro from Vivo have identical OLED screens. Both the exterior and interior screens have different resolutions; the former is 6.53 inches and has 2,480 x 2,200 pixels, while the latter measures 8.03 inches and has 2,748 x 1,172 pixels. With a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and a refresh rate of 120Hz, both displays are top-notch. An embedded ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is available on the X Fold 3 Pro, while the basic edition has a scanner that is located on the side.

A circular back camera module is a design element of the Vivo X Fold 3 series. The claimed slimmest foldable phone is the basic model, which measures in at a mere 4.65mm when folded. With a weight of just 219 grams. According to Vivo, the X Fold 3 series has a lightweight carbon-fiber hinge that is ultra-durable. The foldable phone has received the first Swiss SGS five-star drop-resistant certification, which may be due to its armor glass. Both the Pro and regular versions have water resistance certifications, IPX8 and IPX4, respectively.

In terms of optics, the Vivo X Fold 3 models come with three cameras on the back. Both phones include a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 50MP primary sensor with OV50H optical image stabilization. On the other hand, the X Fold 3 Pro has a 64MP OIS periscope shooter with 3x optical zoom and 70mm focal length, while the third unit on the normal model features a 50MP portrait. Within the X Fold 3 series’ center-aligned punch-hole cutout of the internal and exterior screens are 32MP cameras. Included with the Pro model is the company’s own V3 imaging chip.

Although the base model has an older Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU, the Pro edition of the Vivo X Fold 3 features a more recent Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. They both have 1 terabyte of UFS 4.0 storage and up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Comparatively, the X Fold 3’s 5,500mAh battery supports 80W fast charging, while the Fold 3 Pro’s 5,700mAh cell can reach a maximum of 100W charging speed and has 50W wireless charging capabilities.

The X Fold 3 models from Vivo come with wireless lossless high-fidelity audio and stereo speakers. Choose between WiFi-7, dual-SIM 5G, IR Blaster, or NFC as your connectivity choices.

Vivo X Fold 3 And 3 Pro Price

Two RAM and storage options are available for the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro: 16GB with 512GB and 16GB with 1TB. The relative prices for these are CNY 9,999 (~$1,385) and CNY 10,999 (~$1,523). The 16GB + 256GB model costs CNY 7,499 (~$1,038), although the regular X Fold 3 begins at CNY 6,999 (~$969). Priced at CNY 7,999 (~$1,108) and CNY 8,999 (~$1,246) respectively, the 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB options are available. You may get both phones in two colors: black and white.
