This OnePlus Devices Won't Get Android 14-based OxygenOS 14

After OxygenOS 13.1 for OnePlus devices, Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 is set to become the next comprehensive OxygenOS customization layer introduced. Have you considered both eligible and ineligible OnePlus OxygenOS 14 devices?

Two developer previews of Android 14 have already been released, and both lay a lot of groundwork for the next iteration of Android, which is set to be released in late August. The first beta is now available, which improves stability while also introducing some new modifications. OnePlus’ OxygenOS 14 beta testing, on the other hand, will most likely begin in late April or early May, with a stable release later this year, a few days after Android 14 is released.

Following the OnePlus 8 series, premium OnePlus devices are eligible for three major OS upgrades. Select flagships, beginning in 2023, will also be eligible for four generations of Android upgrades and five years of security patches.

Major firmware updates are no longer available for the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 8 series flagship smartphones. This is due to brands changing their software features, which are frequently incompatible with the device mechanism.

Finally, the OxygenOS 14 upgrade will be available for both flagship and entry-level OnePlus smartphones. However, some of them will be excluded from future iterations. The full list of ineligible devices can be found below.
