Samsung Rolls Out Galaxy Z Fold SE One UI 7 Update

Samsung has officially begun rolling out the Galaxy Z Fold SE One UI 7 update. This significant release brings a host of new features and improvements to the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, enhancing user experience and device performance.​

Surprisingly, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is also receiving the stable One UI 7 update today. Samsung had previously announced the One UI 7 release date for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, but the Galaxy Z Fold SE was not included in that announcement. It’s encouraging to see such unexpected inclusions from Samsung.​

Similar to other Galaxy foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold SE is receiving the update in Korea. The update comes with the firmware version F958NKSU2BYCK and has a download size of approximately 5GB. Beyond a major UI overhaul, users can expect new features, smoother animations, updated icons, and extensive customization options. Additionally, the update includes the April 2025 security patch, offering enhanced protection against vulnerabilities identified in previous software versions.

If you own a Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, or Galaxy Z Fold SE in Korea, the One UI 7 update should be available for installation. To check for the update, navigate to Settings > Software updates and tap the Download and install button. For users outside Korea, the wait shouldn’t be too long, as Samsung typically expands update availability to additional markets promptly. Before installing the update, ensure your device is sufficiently charged and connected to a stable Wi-Fi network to prevent any interruptions during the process.
