Samsung launches One UI Watch 5 Beta 4 for Galaxy Watch 4/5

Samsung has released One UI Watch 5, a new beta version for the Galaxy Watch 4 and 5. The fourth beta is available for testing now. Over-the-air updates will be sent to Galaxy Watches already running the One UI Watch 5 beta. The new update released today fixes a few bugs and improves the watch’s performance.

With firmware ending in ZWG7, the One UI Watch 5 beta 4 is now seeding on the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5. The update available today is 311 MB in size, which is less than the last beta and hence easier to install on your watch. US and South Korean customers can now get the little update.

The release notes for One UI Watch 5 beta 4 disclose four changes, including improvements to battery usage and startup speed. After updating, Samsung fixes the brightness control problem with the touch bezel and the watchface colour error.

Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 series users from South Korea and the US can easily join the beta program by applying for beta from Samsung Members app. Yes, the beta availability is currently limited to two regions. There is no information on whether it will be available in other regions or not.

How to install One UI Watch 5 Beta 4 on Galaxy Watch 4/5

If your Galaxy Watch is already running on the One UI Watch 5 beta, then you will receive the incremental upgrade over the air. You can easily update from the Galaxy Wearable app > Settings > Software Updates.
