Samsung has released a new security update for the Galaxy S23 series, following the release of the August 2023 update for the Galaxy S20FE in Latin America a few days ago. However, in Thailand, the August 2023 security update is being rolled out to Galaxy S23 devices. New security updates may soon be made available in more countries.
Meanwhile, Samsung is currently pushing out the most recent security update, while we were anticipating the release of the One UI 6.0 beta for the Galaxy S23 series. Since these builds represent the starting point for One UI 6.0, it is crucial that you always have the most recent version installed on your device.
The latest August 2023 update for the Galaxy S23 is the S91xBXXU3AWGJ version of One UI. Please be aware that the package size for some users is 1.4GB. Keep enough room on your device’s storage so you can install the firmware.
Regarding modifications, the update provides a security patch that was released in August 2023 and enhances the overall stability of the system. It monitors and enhances the performance of each individual component of the device. And you never know what kind of hidden goodies this update might have in store for you.
Due to the staggered nature of the rollout, it may take a few days for the update to reach every Galaxy S23 user in the region. Once this firmware is available in your country, you can download it from the Settings » Software update menu.
