Samsung‘s flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, has begun receiving the company’s most recent security update. The security update released in Europe in July 2023 is expected to expand to additional countries and regions in the near future.
In Switzerland, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ are currently being updated to firmware version N97xFXXS8HWF3. Also receiving the new security update is the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G variant with firmware version N976BXXS8HWF3. This update focuses solely on enhancing the security of these devices by addressing various flaws discovered in the previous software release. There are no new features, modifications, or performance enhancements.
How to install Samsung Galaxy Note 10 July 2023 security update
In Switzerland, Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ owners can access the update by navigating to Settings » Software update and selecting Download and Install. Users can also download the firmware file from the firmware database and manually install it using a Windows computer and the Odin tool.
Midway through 2019, Samsung debuted the Galaxy Note 10 series with Android 9 as its operating system. The devices received Android 10 updates in early 2020, Android 11 updates in early 2021, and Android 12 updates in late 2021. Android 12 was the last major Android update for the Galaxy Note 10 series.
