Samsung Galaxy M55 5G with 50MP front camera, 50MP triple rear camera launched

In Brazil, Samsung unveiled its new Galaxy M55 5G mid-range phone. Several sources have speculated that this new gadget would be quite similar to the Galaxy A55, which has just made its debut in several areas. Despite sharing many visual cues with the A55, the new M-series has entirely distinct specifications.

With a punch-hole design, the Galaxy M55 5G has a 6.7-inch AMOLED Plus display. An in-screen fingerprint scanner, a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Full HD+ resolution are all features of the panel. The phone’s operating system is Android 14, with the One UI 6.1 skin applied on top.

The Galaxy M55’s 5,000mAh battery, which is compatible with 25W fast charging, and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor provide the juice. In conjunction with the SoC, there is 256 GB of built-in storage and 8 GB of RAM. It has a USB-C connector, NFC, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and other connection capabilities.

For front-facing selfies and video chats, the M55 has a 50-megapixel camera. A 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera are located on the device’s rear panel. For music lovers, there are two speakers on the smartphone. It is dust- and water-resistant, thanks to its polycarbonate construction and IP67 certification. The weight of the M55 is 180 grams, and its thickness is 7.8mm.

In Brazil, you can get the Galaxy M55 for around $540 (BZR 2,699). Light green and dark blue are two of the available hues. The M55 will likely be unveiled in many regions, including India, shortly.
