Realme Devices That will lose software Support

Realme Devices

Realme has always prioritized software support for its devices, and several Realme Devices have been updated in recent years. Unfortunately, even for Realme’s top-of-the-line in 2018, the final greetings have arrived:

Android updates will no longer be available for the Realme X2, X2 Pro, and XT. After two major updates, approximately thirty Closed and Open Beta build, and more than three years of updates, software support will be discontinued.

All of these devices have recently received the Realme UI 2.0 stable update. Surely a long journey for these devices, for which modding has become the only way to test Android news, beginning with those proposed by Android 12.

Many Realme devices, however, are no longer receiving Android and security patches, whereas others are receiving the new Android 10 security patch. Realme’s update policy maintains major Android updates for two years and security patches for three years, but security patches will be quarterly, which means updates will be available every three months.

But with the launch of Realme GT 2 and GT 2 Pro, one of the most exciting announcements (at least for us) came at the end of the event when Realme said they are committing to delivering 3 major Android OS updates and 4 years of security patches to the Realme GT 2 Series. Currently, it will not commit itself to deliver this level of software support to any other device.
