Realme 9 5G UI 3.0 open beta program goes live

Realme 9 5G UI 3.0 open beta

Realme 9 5G UI 3.0 open beta is available. Realme initially launched an Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 skin upgrade to the Realme 9 5G through its early access program last month. Because the open beta update is now available, more users can install the new version. Obviously, the Realme UI 3.0 skin includes a slew of new features and improvements.

Realme 9 5G Specs

The Realme 9 5G sports a 6.5-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate and full-HD+ resolution. It has a hole punch in the top-left corner for the 16-megapixel selfie camera. The Realme 9 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC and is capable of handling light to medium usage without any issues.

The Realme 9 5G packs in a 5,000mAh battery that was capable of delivering about a day and a half worth of battery life. It has support for 18W fast charging and the phone comes with a compatible charger in the box. In terms of software, the Realme 9 5G runs Realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11 and had a fair amount of bloatware onboard.

Realme officially confirms the availability of an open beta update on its community forum. And as per the information, your smartphone needs to be running on the RMX3388_11.A.06 software version. If your phone is already running on Realme UI 3.0 (early access) build, then you’ll receive the new update over the air. But if you’re on an older version, you need to request for open beta OTA. Yes, it is an open beta update, so anyone can join it and access the new update, no need to be acquainted with the availability of slots.

Although open beta releases are more dependable than early access builds, I do not advocate installing them on your primary device. Realme’s newest Android 12-centric skin includes new 3D icons, Omoji 3D avatars, AOD 2.0, dynamic theming, improved privacy options, PC connect, and much more. Users may obviously access the fundamentals of Android 12.

Now, let’s see how to upgrade your Realme 9 5G UI 3.0 open beta.

If you’re using the Realme 9 5G and want to update to the latest Android 12 open beta then you can easily do it from the system settings, but before moving to the steps make sure your phone has at least 5GB of free space and is charged 60%.

  1. Head over to Settings on your Realme smartphone.
  2. Then go to Software Update and tap on the Settings icon present in the top right corner.
  3. Next select Trial Versions > Open beta > Apply Now and submit your details.
  4. That’s it.

After upgrading to the Realme 9 5G UI 3.0 open beta build you may encounter some issues like longer booting time, etc.
