POCO F6 HyperOS 2.1 Update

Xiaomi is still rolling out a major upgrade to improve HyperOS performance and stability. The POCO F6 HyperOS 2.1 update has been seeding for eligible users for quite some time. As expected, the global POCO F6 HyperOS 2.1 update is now available but only for limited users.

A few days ago, Xiaomi released an update in Europe for the POCO F6 units. It was the much-anticipated POCO F6 HyperOS 2.1 update, which is now available for Mi Pilot members Globally. Usually, it will be exclusive to these people for some time, but the Recovery ROM is available, and hence, you can install it manually.

The POCO F6 HyperOS 2.1 update is rolling out with version number OS2.0.100.0. VNPMIXM and weighs 773 MB. It brings many improvements to system animation and the Home screen. Also, some optimizations and bug fixes, which you can check below.

System animations

New: During the process of opening or closing apps, the full screen indicator follows the window’s movement.
New: When quickly opening and closing apps, multiple app animations are displayed simultaneously.

Home screen

New: After turning off the Home screen search bar, a 4×6 layout option becomes available.

Control center

New: Flashlight brightness adjustment page.
New: Certain devices now support adjustable flashlight brightness.
New: Notification spotlight for flashlight.

Xiaomi HyperConnect

Optimization: Device connection pop-ups.

Gallery

Optimization: Display layouts for Gallery items.
Optimization: Gallery now supports deleting and hiding items via long pressing.
Optimization: Search results for time and location keywords.

Recents

Fix: Recents couldn’t be cleared in some cases.

Game speed booster

New: Game Turbo performance dashboard.
Optimization: Game Turbo interface improvements.

We understand changing your region to India can make the POCO F6 HyperOS 2.1 update arrive sooner, but you can install the Recovery ROM manually instead. However, if you are not part of the beta program, we recommend waiting for the OTA. We believe it will start arriving on more phones.
