OnePlus has released OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 4 for the OnePlus 11; with this update, the company has added numerous new exciting features aimed at improving the user’s experience. Among the dozens of new features, the File Dock and Recent Files functionality is one of several.
OxygenOS 14 Beta Brings File Dock, Recent Files to OnePlus 11
Previously, the File Dock and Recent Files functions were deleted from the OnePlus 11 OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 2. The brand then released it again in the next open beta 3 upgrade. The brand appears to be experimenting with providing additional useful features and options to beta releases through upgrades and improvements. As a result, users may experience more functionality in forthcoming releases even before the update’s stable release.
The file Dock feature allows users to keep all of their files in one place while also allowing for smoother and more efficient multitasking on their smartphones. For example, whenever users want to access vital material from a specific website using any browser, they can select it and then long-press it. The option to “Save to File Dock” will appear in a popup in the right-top corner. Additionally, their text is saved in the File Dock with a simple drag-and-drop action.
This capability, on the other hand, is useful for saving other file kinds, such as notes and photographs, which were not present in previous Oxygen-OS 14 releases. Aside from that, the File Dock has services like Read Aloud, Translate, and Quick Note, which can be accessed by tapping the three dots next to the selected text.
Recent Files is another important tool that provides rapid access to recently used documents and images. This ensures that all recent materials are quickly accessible, making it easier to organize and use content on OnePlus smartphones.
