Oppo began beta testing its new skin for the mid-range Oppo F27 5G last week. The Android 15-based ColorOS 15 closed beta is now available for the inexpensive Oppo K12x. The phone is likely to receive a stable upgrade in December, or possibly in January if delayed.
Oppo revealed its limited beta program in a forum post. The corporation has verified that there are just 2,000 seats available for the beta program. Please take note that applications will be accepted from November 7 to November 12.
Oppo K12x ColorOS 15 (Android 15) Closed Beta Program
If you own the Oppo K12x and reside in India, make sure your phone is running on the CPH2667_14.0.1.736(EX01) software version. If your phone is on the older software, you need to update it to the latest build to take a part in the beta program.

If you want to join the beta program, you can navigate to Go to Settings > About Device > Tap the top of the page > Tap the icon in the top right corner > Select Trial version > Alpha and follow the steps to apply. Once done, you will receive a message to join official ColorOS group on telegram.
Additionally, your application will be reviewed in 5 days.If your application got selected you will receive the ColorOS 15 beta via a special OTA update.
Keep in mind that you may encounter with some bugs or issues after installing the open beta, I recommend you not install the update on your primary device, if you still want to try it out, then make sure to take a backup of important data.
Oppo K12x Specs
Oppo K12x has been officially released on Aug. 2, 2024. The smartphone is powered by Mediatek Dimensity 6300 Octa-core processor while the GPU is Mali-G57 MC2. The device runs on Android 14 + ColorOS 14 operating system. The device is packed with 6 GB, 8 GB RAM with 128 GB, 256 GB internal storage.
Oppo K12x consists of a dual camera: 32 MP (wide) + 2 MP (depth). On the front, there is a 8 MP (wide) camera for clicking selfies. The size of the display is 6.67 inches IPS LCD while the screen resolution is 720 x 1604 pixels. It also features Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS, BDS, QZSS and Type-C 2.0. The smartphone supports Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by).
The device is fueled with a 5100 mAh battery + 45W wired, PD, 50% in 30 min (advertised). The dimension of the device is 165.7 x 76 x 7.7 mm and it weighs 186 grams. The sensors include a side-mounted fingerprint, accelerometer, proximity, and compass. It is available in two colors: Breeze Blue, and Midnight Violet.
