Oppo has started rolling out the Android 15-centric ColorOS 15 update for Oppo A80. The new software upgrade goes live with a flurry of new features and changes.

The smartphone is powered by Mediatek Dimensity 6300 Octa-core processor with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The device runs on Android 14 + ColorOS 14 operating system. The device is packed with 8 GB RAM with 128 GB, 256 GB internal storage. It features IP54, dust and splash resistant and supports Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by).
Oppo A80 5G consists of a dual-camera setup: 50 MP (wide) + 2 MP (depth). On the front, there is an 8 MP (wide) camera for clicking selfies. The size of the display is 6.67 inches IPS LCD while the screen resolution is 720 x 1604 pixels. The dimension of the smartphone is 165.8 x 76.1 x 7.7 mm and it weighs 186 grams.
It supports Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) and is fueled with Li-Po 5100 mAh battery + 45W wired, 50% in 30 min (advertised). The device comes in two colors: Moonlit Purple and Starry Black. The sensors include a side-mounted fingerprint, accelerometer, proximity, and compass.

As always, the company has officially shared this news on its community forum. The update is rolling out in a staged manner, with a broader rollout should commence in the coming days. Please ensure that your smartphone is running on the latest available software version or following builds:

If you reside in the EU region and own the Oppo A80, you can finally upgrade your device to stable ColorOS 15.

To apply for the ColorOS 15 official version, you can navigate to Go to Settings > About Device > Tap the top of the page > Tap the icon in the top right corner > Select Trial version > Official Version > Apply Now.
Once done, you will receive the update go back and select Detect the update option > Download now. That’s it.
Make sure to take a backup before installing the update on your device.
