OnePlus has introduced a new midrange device called the Nord CE 3 Lite.
If you’re in the United States and you like the sound of those hero specifications, you may be interested in what a member on the OnePlus forums just discovered. It turns out that the business is planning to release the Nord CE 3 Lite in the United States under the name OnePlus Nord N30.
The screen is larger and refreshes at 120 Hz compared to 60 Hz on that model, although it uses an LCD display instead of an AMOLED one. As you would have guessed, the primary camera has been upgraded, and the fingerprint sensor has been relocated from beneath the display to the side, incorporated in the power button. On the whole, however, it’s hard to tell the two apart. It’s a 5G handset featuring a 108 megapixel main camera and a Snapdragon 695 CPU, making it a mid-tier option.
As for how the aforementioned member on the OnePlus forums arrived to this conclusion, it turns out that the software build feature files identifying the Nord CE 3 Lite’s software attributes are stored in an archive. The project ID (used internally to refer to the device), the default device name (as shown in Settings > About device), and any market-specific information are all examples of such attributes.
The gadget is known as the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite in India and the OnePlus Nord N30 in the United States, as seen in the image above. All the files have the same project ID, therefore it must be the same device with different labels. Not only will OnePlus sell this in the United States, but so will T-Mobile. In addition, the program has an FCC ID for the Nord N30, providing more evidence for this scenario.
