OnePlus released its new magnetic power bank and OnePlus 13 smartphone in China a few weeks ago. Aptly titled the OnePlus Magnetic Power Bank, it is now available for purchase on the mainland.
OnePlus Magnetic Power Bank Specifications
The power bank itself features a dark, basic design. The recognizable OnePlus logo appears on the front, alongside the words “Magnetic Power Bank”. It’s a wireless battery pack that you can clip onto the back of your phone.
Following the current trend of ultra-thin profiles, OnePlus promises the power bank would “easily fit into a wallet.” It weighs only 120g and measures 0.88 cm at its narrowest point, despite being made of what appears to be tough 5 series aviation aluminum.
While it appears to be designed specifically for the upcoming OnePlus 13, with its flat bottom to prevent camera blocking, the power bank’s magnetic capabilities extend beyond OnePlus phones. It uses NTC resistors for active temperature control and, probably most importantly, offers wireless charging for iPhones.
Four little lights on the bottom indicate the remaining power, and a button on the side activates the power bank. With a capacity of only 5000mAh, it cannot fully charge the OnePlus 13’s larger 6000mAh battery in one go. The firm advertises it as a travel buddy.
Price and Availability
The OnePlus Magnetic Power Bank is priced at 149 yuan (approx. $21). Interestingly, Oppo, OnePlus’ parent company, introduced a similar magnetic power bank with equal features on the same day. Both power banks have 5000mAh batteries, wireless charging for multiple devices, and a lightweight design for portability. They are most likely the same product, just with different branding.
