OnePlus 9R Gets Stable Android 14 Update

Now that the OnePlus 9R has received the OxygenOS 14 update, it is running Android 14. This update comes soon after the OnePlus 10R update, just like last year. Nevertheless, the update’s widespread rollout might be delayed for a while. Let’s take a closer look at the OnePlus 9R’s Android 14 update.

In 2021, the OnePlus 9R was unveiled with OxygenOS 10, an operating system based on Android 10. The latest version, Android 14, is the device’s fourth and likely final major update. Impressive, even after four years of major updates.

According to the OnePlus community, some users have already received the major Android 14 based OxygenOS 14 update on their OnePlus 9R device. The Android 14 update for OnePlus 9R is rolling out in India. First the update is available to beta users and later in few days the update will be available to everyone.

Build number LE2101_14.0.0.300(EX01) is being used for the update’s rollout. Additionally, the update brings the Android security patch level up to December 2023. You get to enjoy a plethora of new features and enhancements because this is a significant update.

We don’t yet have the full changelog details, but rest assured that all of the features will be identical to those of previous OnePlus phone updates. Trinity engine for better performance and less power consumption, the ability to extract objects from photos, improved functionality of the service framework, improved privacy related to media permission, ringtones themed after Aquamorphos, and many more new features are available. As mentioned earlier, the update is currently available to beta users, but in a couple of days it should be available to non-beta users. Make sure you manually check for the update to enjoy new features as soon as the update is available. You can check for the update by going to Settings > About Device > Up to Date.

Before upgrading your phone, make sure to backup important data and charge your phone to at least 50%.
