OnePlus 8 Pro Gets OxygenOS 13 December 2022 Update

OnePlus began rolling out the December 2022 update on December 9, 2022, with the Nord CE 2 Lite smartphone being the first to receive it. Following the mid-range Nord series smartphones, the Chinese tech giant has finally begun sending the latest December 2022 Android security patch update to OnePlus 8 Pro users.

The OnePlus 8 Pro December 2022 update is currently rolling out globally, primarily in European countries; however, users in other regions will receive it in the coming days or weeks. This update safeguards your device against potentially harmful bugs and viruses.

Furthermore, the update is currently available to a limited number of users as an initial rollout, and the company will expand it to more OnePlus 8 Pro users across different regions after ensuring its stability and security.

December 2022 security patch is gradually releasing for the European OnePlus 8 Pro smartphone owners with firmware number IN2023_11_F.15 upgrading from OxygenOS IN2023_11_F.13. Now, you can download this latest update on your device approx 390.40 MB.

As mentioned, the latest has been released via OTA. However, you can switch to the manual method to install the update. Navigation to “Settings > System > Software Update.” If available, hit the Download button.

OnePlus officially announced the OnePlus 8 Pro on 14th April 2020. The smartphone will come with a 6.78 inches Fluid AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The smartphone features a 48 MP (wide) omnidirectional + 48 MP (ultrawide) + 8MP telephoto lens + 5MP color filter (depth) cameras at the back. The front camera is a 16 MP (wide).

The smartphone is IP68 dust and water-resistant. The dimension of the device is 165.3 x 74.4 x 8.5 mm and weighs 199 grams. It runs on Android 10.0 + OxygenOS 10.0 and USB 3.1, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector, USB On-The-Go for connecting the port.

The smartphone features Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS with dual-band A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, SBAS and loudspeaker with stereo speakers.

The sensors include Fingerprint (under display, optical), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass while it is fueled with Li-Po 4510 mAh battery.

Additionally, the battery comes with Fast charging 30W, 50% in 23 min (advertised), Fast wireless charging 30W, 50% in 30 min (advertised), and Reverse wireless charging 3W.

OnePlus 8 Pro is available in various color options such as Glacial Green, Ultramarine Blue, and Onyx Black. It is powered by the latest Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 chipset.
