OnePlus 13R update comes with January 2025 security patch

The OnePlus 13R update started rolling out, This is the second monthly update for the devices. The monthly update is designed to provide some improvements to make the functionality flawless and also bring new measures to ensure that your device is working on the latest security changes for the devices.

OnePlus 13R has been officially released on Jan. 14, 2025. The 6.78-inch LTPO 4.1 AMOLED display boasts 1 billion colors, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Ultra HDR support, with a resolution of 1264 x 2780 pixels (~450 ppi) and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

OnePlus 13R runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with an octa-core CPU (up to 3.3 GHz) and Adreno 750 GPU. Memory options include 256GB storage with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage with 16GB RAM (UFS 4.0).

The main camera setup includes a 50 MP wide lens, a 50 MP telephoto lens (2x optical zoom), and an 8 MP ultrawide lens, capable of 4K video recording. The 16 MP selfie camera supports 1080p video. Its 6000 mAh battery supports 80W wired charging, reaching 100% in approximately 52 minutes.

OnePlus 13R update: What’s new

The latest OnePlus 13R update is also coming with some new enhancements for the devices. According to the changelog, it brings improvements under communication and interconnection, camera, and some system-related functionalities. Along with this, the update also enhances the AI translation process, including some new functionalities.

Apart from new changes, the company also introduced a new security patch in January 2025 for the device that will ensure that the OnePlus 13R will get the latest security.

The latest OnePlus 13R update is live in India and the North American region. It is coming with the firmware version numbers CPH2691_15.0.0.406 (EX01) and CPH2647_15.0.0.405 (EX01), respectively.
