OnePlus released an update for the OnePlus 11R, which is available only for the Indian variant. It also fixes major issues with the August 2024 Android Security patch and add several new improvement features. It provides users with higher security and privacy across all components.
OnePlus 11R has been officially announced on Feb. 7, 2023. The device is powered by Qualcomm SM8475 Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, and it is expected to be equipped with the Android 13 + OxygenOS 13 operating system.
OnePlus 11R features a triple camera: 50 MP (wide) + 8 MP (ultrawide) + 2 MP (macro) while on the front, there is a 16 MP (wide) sensor. The display size is 6.74 inches Fluid AMOLED. The resolution of the screen is 1240 x 2772 pixels.
The device is fueled with a non-removable Li-Po 5000 mAh battery + 100W wired. Moreover, it features NFC, GPS (L1+L5), GLONASS (G1), BDS (B1I+B1c+B2a), GALILEO (E1+E5a), QZSS (L1+L5), and Type-C 2.0.
The smartphone supports Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) and the sensors include under display, optical fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and color spectrum.
The update adds a switch to show or hide media playback information in the status bar and improves the user experience of scrolling screenshots. When users take scrolling screenshots, notifications and live alert messages will not pop up and the floating window will not be displayed.
This update integrates the August 2024 Android security patch to enhance the device’s system security. These updates address vulnerabilities and security flaws in the device’s core components, firmware, and OS and make the device better than before. Generally, they do not allow security issues to occur in the device.
