Nothing Phone 2a gets January 2025 security patch update

Nothing has released January 2025 security patch update for the Nothing Phone 2 (a). With the latest update, the company doesn’t bring any new changes, but it will improve the overall security of the devices.

Nothing Phone 2a Specs

Nothing Phone (2a) has been officially released on March 12, 2024. The size of the device is 6.7 inches OLED capacitive touchscreen while the resolution of the screen is 1080 x 2412 pixels and it is protected by Always On Display. The smartphone runs on the Android 14 + Nothing OS 2.5 operating system while internal storage is up to 512 GB.

Nothing Phone (2a) consists of a dual camera: 50 MP (wide) + 50 MP (ultrawide) camera while on the front there is a single 16 MP camera. The device is available in Black and other colors. The smartphone is fueled with a non-removable Li-Po 5000 mAh battery.

It features Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C 2.0, OTG, and GPS. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Octa-core processor while GPU is Mali-G610 MC4. It also supports Dual SIM and sensors including under display, optical, fingerprint, accelerometer, proximity, and compass.

January 2025 update: What’s new

The company has introduced the latest update for its Nothing Phone (1). With the latest update, there are some new changes for the devices.

According to the changelog, the update has a bright torch from the long press on the quick settings.

Along with this, there is a new optimized selection to improve connection stability. Apart from this, there are some bug fixes that will improve the glyph effects, performance enhancements, and reliable experience.
