iOS 14.7 Beta 1 and iPadOS 14.7 Beta 1 are now available for beta testing

Apple has announced iOS 14.7 Beta 1 and iPadOS 14.7 Beta 1 are now available, following the announcement of iOS 14.6 RC and iPadOS 14.6 RC earlier this week. Apple also shocked users last month with a beta upgrade when the previous RC version was still available. Since we know that the iOS 15 update will be out shortly, this beta update could be evidence that we will get it sooner. This page contains information about the iOS 14.7 Beta 1 and iPadOS 14.7 Beta 1 updates.

We should expect another iOS update next week, since we have already got two this week. Yes, a second iOS 14.7 beta 2 is available alongside the official release of iOS 14.6. We see some new functionality and bug fixes in iOS 14.6 RC. The key feature of the upgrade is support for spatial audio and lossless audio, which will be available in June. iOS 14.7 Beta seems to have several interesting new features.

Apple also launched tvOS 14.7 Beta 1, macOS Big Sur 11.5 Beta 1, and watchOS 7.6 Beta 1 in addition to iOS 14.7 Beta 1 and iPadOS 14.7 Beta 1. The build number 18G5023c is available for both iOS 14.7 Beta 1 and iPadOS 14.7 Beta 1. And the weight of the upgrade varies based on the platform and iOS version you’re using. Both iPhones and iPads have undergone several improvements.

What’s New in iOS 14.7 and iPadOS 14.7 Beta 1

Surprisingly, the iOS 14.7 Beta 1 includes a modem upgrade, but with an older version than the iOS 14.6 RC. The modem variant in iOS 14.6 RC is 1.71.01, while it is 1.70.03 in iOS 14.7 Beta 1.

There is a new MDM constraint in the current update. You will prevent devices from attaching AirTags if you use Mobile Device Management. Apple has introduced several new services, such as the new SignTime service, which will enable users to connect using sign language, new Memoji customizations, and Accessibility, which will be included in future iOS updates, possibly in the next one. More information is available in the Apple Newsroom.

Apple included a new sidebar feature for iPads in iPadOS 14.7 Beta 1. Yes, if you use your iPad in landscape mode, the sidebar will now be available by default. When you rotate the iPad to portrait mode, it will disappear.

The big upgrade, on the other hand, corrects the green tint problem. So, with this latest beta, it’s likely that the green hue will no longer irritate you. However, we cannot validate this since only a few users have mentioned it as of yet.

If you remember, the latest feature was recently revealed in one of the previous releases, in which a new beta version will appear without any changes to the beta profile.
