2023 appears to be the year of new icons. The majority of the application’s icons have already been refreshed, and Instagram is finally changing its icon to accommodate dynamic theming. As a result, Instagram users will now get a new look based on dynamically themed app icons for their applications. In this essay, we will go over the specifics of this new adjustment.

Instagram Get Dynamic Theme App Icon Support for Andriod

The Meta-owned Instagram app for Android now supports a dynamic-themed icon. This new update is being rolled out alongside the company’s latest build number, 307.0.0.0.30. Users must ensure that their smartphone is running Android 13 or higher in order to enjoy this new dynamic theme change, as this modification is only applicable to Android 13 and higher versions.

According to a post by @MishaalRahman on Telegram, Instagram has finally implemented a customized icon on Android. He mentioned that

“Instagram has finally added a themed icon on Android! This is available in version 307.0.0.0.30.”

“Now, the only app that’s missing support for this in my “Social” Folder is Facebook.”

According to the aforementioned statement, Instagram users on Android will receive a themed icon along with a designated version number. And Meta’s other app, ‘Facebook,’ is the only social network program that lacks a customized symbol.

Users will now see a material-you-themed symbol for the Instagram app. It shows a dual-tone application icon, with the dominant color taken from the user’s selected home screen wallpaper. Several social media apps have recently introduced support for Material You-themed app icons. Mastodon, Linkedin, Reddit, Telegram, Threads, and WhatsApp are among these applications.

While most Google and Samsung programs provide this customization capability. Meanwhile, the theming feature will be added to the remainder of the program in the following days.
