How to check the Battery Status on Xiaomi

Checking the battery status of our Xiaomi is somewhat confusing since we can only know if it has degraded  through messages as generic as “good”, “bad” or “great” . Until now HyperOS only allowed us to know the health status of the battery through these messages, something that has completely changed in HyperOS 2.

Through one of the latest HyperOS 2 updates , Xiaomi has implemented new options in the battery settings that allow us, among other things, to know the exact status of the battery of our Xiaomi , that is, how much it has degraded since we have been using it.

Xiaomi implements one of the most anticipated features in HyperOS 2

As we can see in the following image, the version of HyperOS 2 that comes with the new POCO X7 Pro already allows us to check the battery status using a percentage.

From the HyperOS 2 settings we can now access the battery status and check it using a percentage to see how much we have degraded it with each charge and use. When we buy a new smartphone it appears at 100% and as we use it this value is reduced.

Thanks to this new indicator we will be able to know if it is time to change the battery of our Xiaomi, REDMI or POCO. In general, it is not until 80% or less when the battery degradation is noticeable considerably . Below this percentage, the offered autonomy is usually considerably reduced, making a replacement necessary.

For the moment, this new feature is only available in HyperOS 2 and not in all smartphones, although it is expected that it will gradually reach more models. To access it, simply go to Settings > Battery > Battery Protection .
