MIUI hides a large number of functionalities like Xiaomi Front Flash and others. Beyond being able to customize the lock screen of our Xiaomi or even change the font, it also has other types of functionalities such as the Front Camera Assistant that allows us to start a fill light or virtual front flash or Xiaomi front flash.
Thanks to the Front Camera Assistant we can illuminate our face when making video calls, that is, as if it were a Xiaomi front flash. To do this, the outline of the screen will light up in white. A very useful functionality, especially when we are in a low-light environment.
Best of all, once activated, turning on the Front Camera Assist fill light is a breeze. MIUI is in charge of making it available to us automatically in each video call it detects.
So you can activate the Front Camera Assistant on your Xiaomi: fill light or Xiaomi front flash
Activating the Front Camera Assistant on practically any Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO updated to the latest version of MIUI is extremely simple. To do this, just follow these steps:
- Go to Settings > Additional settings > Front camera assistant
- Once inside, all you have to do is activate the Front Camera Assistant option and adjust the brightness level.
Once the Front Camera Assistant is activated, its shortcut will automatically be shown in the left area of ​​the screen (lightning bolt icon) every time we start a video call, for example through WhatsApp. If we click on this it will allow us to start the fill light and thus illuminate our face.
