Another major fix in the Pixel April 2025 Update addresses display and graphics. A flickering screen brightness issue occurring while watching OTT content has now been patched. Furthermore, two user interface bugs were tackled—one causing overlapping elements on the lock screen weather clock, and another that disrupted the Pixel Launcher during user creation or account switching.

Security Enhancements Included

Apart from the functional fixes, the update also incorporates a security patch targeting three common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVEs). The most critical vulnerability, CVE-2025-26415, was discovered in the Google Assistant subcomponent. Two other vulnerabilities—CVE-2024-56190 and CVE-2024-56189—were found in the Broadcom WLAN driver and Modem subcomponents, respectively. Both of these were categorized as “high” in terms of severity.

With this rollout, the Pixel April 2025 Update continues Google’s monthly commitment to delivering timely security and performance enhancements to its Pixel lineup. Users are encouraged to install the update promptly to benefit from improved stability and patched vulnerabilities.
