Samsung has commenced the rollout of the Galaxy S22 Series One UI 7 Update in South Korea, bringing a host of new features and improvements to the 2022 flagship devices. While the update is currently region-specific, it’s expected to reach other markets in the coming weeks.
Samsung’s home country is getting all the treats early. After the 2024 and 2023 flagship models, the 2022 flagship also joins the stable One UI 7 party. You can track devices receiving the One UI 7 update on this page.
The stable One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S22 Ultra is rolling out with build number S908NKSU7FYD9. The Galaxy S22+ is receiving the update with build S906NKSU7FYD9, and the Galaxy S22 is receiving the update with build S901NKSU7FYD9.
As One UI 7 is a major update for the Galaxy S22 lineup, it weighs more than 4GB. Make sure to download the update over Wi-Fi to prevent any errors.
New Features and Enhancements
One UI 7 is the biggest update in One UI’s history, which means you will be getting a bunch of new features with the update on your Galaxy S22 devices. New features and changes include new split mode for quick settings and notifications, enhanced UI, faster animations, improved app icons, new customization tools, and many AI features. Galaxy S22 Series One UI 7 Update Rollout
As mentioned earlier, the Galaxy S22 Series One UI 7 Update for Galaxy S22 devices is currently rolling out in South Korea. It is expected to be rolled out to other regions maybe the next month. As usual, it is a staged rollout which may take a few days to reach all users. You can check for the update by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
Future Updates for Galaxy S22 Series
One UI 7 is the third major OS update for the Galaxy S22 series, but it’s not the last update, as the series is also eligible for One UI 8. Android 16-based One UI 8 will be the last major OS update for the 2022 flagship devices.
