How to Flash Stock Rom using Smartphone Flash Tool

These are the instructions to on how Flash Stock Rom using Smartphone Flash Tool, on any Mediatek Devices .

This smartphone flash tool can be used in flashing a stock firmware or any custom Rom into any MediaTek (MTK) smartphone. It is one of the best tools for Android smartphones.

Why do I need to Flash Stock Rom using Smartphone Flash Tool?

  • Downgrade or Upgrade any phone.

You can use the SP flash tool to flash Stock ROM to downgrade your smartphone or upgrade your phone to Android KitKat, Lollipop, Marshmallow, Nougat, Oreo, or later. It depends on the release of the firmware or your choice if the option is available.

  • Unbrick any smartphone.

Like we said before, you can use SP Flash Tool to completely unbrick any bricked smartphone. Smartphones can be bricked in the process of rooting or flashing a custom firmware ROM or recovery.

  • Unroot any phone.

You can also use your smartphone stock firmware to completely unroot any smartphone. You also can regain your warranty by properly flashing the official stock firmware. It can be done by reverting back to the official stock firmware of your phone if your smartphone has tampered.

How to Flash Stock Rom using Smartphone Flash Tool

The steps below will help you Flash Scatter Firmware using SP Flash Tool.

1. Download and install MediaTek Driver Autoinstaller on your computer (if in case Mediatek Driver is already installed on the computer, then SKIP this step).

2: Download the Stock ROM (firmware) of your Mediatek Device and extract it on the computer (you can find Stock ROM on our Android Firmware Page or through Google).


3: Download and Extract SP Flashtool (Windows) | SP Flashtool (Linux) on the Computer. Once the Tool is extracted, you will be able to see the following files:

4: Now, Open flash_tool.exe to launch the tool.

5: Once SP Flash Tool is launched, Click on the Scatter-Loading Button.

Select SP Flash Tool on your PC

6: Now, Locate the Scatter File (you can find the scatter file in the Stock ROM of your device).

Click on scatter file to load the flash files

7: Now, Untick the Preloader option (flashing the preloader.bin can brick the device).

8: Click on the Download Button to Begin the Flashing Process.

9: Connect your Mediatek Device to the Computer using the USB Cable (make sure it is power off). After connecting the device to the computer Press Volume Down or Volume Up key, so that SmartPhone Flash Tool can detect the device.

10. Once the Computer detects your Device, the Flashing process will Start Automatically

Untick Preloader Option and Click on Download on Smartphone Flash Tool

11: Once Flashing Process is completed, a Green Ring will appear at the End.

12: Now, Close the Flash Tool on the computer and Disconnect the Device.

Done, Reboot your phone.

First of all, Please, Remember to uncheck the preloader option before flashing a stock firmware or stock ROM on your phone. It always bricks some phones and you don’t need that.
If the Smartphone Flash Tool didn’t detect your smartphone, you might need to press the volume down or up button but do not power your phone.

If you don’t install all the necessary drivers, you may experience issues detecting your phone from the PC.
