Oppo released ColorOS 15 last month, with a significant focus on AI, just like OxygenOS 15 Update, The company launched its own voice assistant and circle-to-search tool for Chinese consumers, and now international users will receive Google-powered versions.
The tech giant also release the global schedule for the colorOS release, these timetable show when each device will be receive the new update.
In a press statement, the company confirmed that ColorOS 15 will include the Gemini app and the Circle to Search with Google feature. The LLM will also work in the Notes and Documents app, providing an AI Recording Summary.
According to the official message, Oppo will embed Google Gemini 1.5 Pro and 1.5 Flash across its user interface for AI aid in translation and languages, which will “boost productivity and creativity”.
The Gemini app is simply a redesigned Google Assistant that now provides real-time responses and even has a chatbot version for rapid answers. Circle to Search is a function that was first introduced with the Galaxy S24 handsets. It allows users to search up any material on the screen and also includes copy/paste, rapid translation, and currency conversions.
The business discussed ColorOS 15 in general and did not specify whether certain Oppo handsets will be excluded from receiving the features, which we highly doubt. If the business believes its devices are powerful enough for AI, they will be able to interact with Google’s artificial services.
ColorOS 15 will be available globally on Thursday, November 21, alongside the release of the Oppo Find X8 handsets.
