Battle Royale games are a great way to spend time with friends while still giving you the opportunity to be as creative as possible. There are numerous Battle Royale games available, such as Fortnite, Garena: Free Fire, and PUBG. PUBG is without a doubt the most popular mobile game. The game was banned in India last year for unknown reasons. But it’s back with a new call, “Backgrounds Mobile India,” as well as a new publisher. Battlegrounds Mobile India Release Date, Gameplay, Features, and News are all available here.
Last year, a different situation arose in India for the PUBG game. Due to national security issues, PUBG and 100 other applications were removed from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. All were taken aback when the game was banned. Gamers, streamers, and the general public were all experiencing a range of feelings. Parents were the only ones who welcomed the ban, given how addicted the younger generation was to the game and how much money they were spending on it.
There have been a lot of rumors about the game returning to India now that the ban has been in effect for about 8 to 9 months. People were hoping for positive news in November 2020, with Krafton doing the bulk of the tournament, but that did not happen. Fast forward to May 2021, and there seems to be a glimmer of hope for the game’s return to India. Let’s take a glimpse at what the future holds for India.
Battlegrounds Mobile India is the same game with a new name
Battlegrounds Mobile India is the new name for PUBG in India. It’s the same game as the original PUBG, but with a stronger Indian flavor. Since Krafton is now the game’s primary developer, the game’s servers and data will be hosted in India. On the 7th of May, Krafton announced that the new game would be released in India shortly. Take a look at their recently launched YouTube page.
Battlegrounds Mobile India Release Date
On PUBG’s reintroduction to India, fans have been impatiently awaiting the game’s release date. There is yet to be an official release date for the title, nor has there been any pre-registration for it. In reality, there is currently no listing in the Play Store or the App Store. However, the only clue we have about the game’s arrival is a helmet and a solar eclipse hidden behind the helmet. So, based on the coming soon poster, it appears that Battlegrounds Mobile India will be released on June 10th, 2021, which is less than a month out. However, on May 26th, there is a Lunar Eclipse, which is causing fans to argue between May 26 and June 1.
Gameplay and Features of Battlegrounds Mobile in India
So far, no official preview or trailer has been released to show whether the game would be visually different from the original PUBG Mobile game (or Battlegrounds Mobile India). You know it’ll be the same, and predicting whether it will ever be different isn’t rocket science. However, there have been some recent restrictions and policies implemented. Let’s take a closer look.
Players below 18 years of age will now have to register their parents’ numbers while creating an account. This is being done to reduce the amount of time that these minors spend playing the game. So far nothing is known what will happen if someone else’s number will be used.
Limited gameplay hours
Yes! this has finally been considered and is absolutely good news for those parents who have been fed up with their kids playing on and on for hours. So now, minors will be able to play for a maximum of 3 hours a day and not more.
Limiting in game purchases to a maximum of $100 (₹7000)
The purchases that you make in the in-game store are just for visuals only. There aren’t any performance enhancement items that will make your gameplay better. Of course, people like to make their characters stand out from the crowd, but spending way too much on such items also isn’t logical from a normal standpoint. Thus, the max you can spend is around $100 or ₹7000.
Remember when you first started playing PUBG and your character literally had no clothes on and you’d have to run around looking for clothes to wear them? Well now with the India-only version you will be having some sort of clothes already at the beginning of the game. This step has been taken to follow around with Indian cultures.
Matching with players only from India
This is something that will be talked about a lot. You’ll be playing around with fellow Indians only. The obvious reason is that it’s an India-only game and secondly, it’s also done to curb out the toxicity that a few players show. So far, it’s not known if players from other countries will be able to download and play the India-only game. This is like how the Korean version of PUBG was being used to play when the original PUBG game was banned. We’ll have to wait and see if there are workarounds available for it or no.
The Sanhok map from PUBG Mobile seems to be coming to Battlegrounds Mobile India. If Sanhok is there, Erangel will be present as well, as it is my favorite likewise everyone’s.
A new map for Battlegrounds Mobile India was teased on May 12th.
The official Battlegrounds Mobile India Facebook page teased the Sanhok map from the original PUBG game, as well as the terms coming soon. The release date of June 10th seems to be one we can all be anticipating. Since the term Sanhok isn’t included in the article, it’s likely that the maps in the game will be renamed. Fans of the game will have to wait to see what awaits them.
Update May 14th: Pre Registration date Revealed
Finally, any positive news about the game from Krafton. Players have been excited to learn about the game’s pre-registration date and release date since the game’s coming soon trailer was announced. The game’s pre-registration period will begin on May 18th, 2021, and will be available on the Google Play Store. There are pre-registration rewards available, but they are only for Indian players. These achievements are simple to obtain inside the game.
Pre-registration is now available, as of May 18th.
Finally, the wait is over. You can now pre-register for the game on the Google Play Store. When you pre-register for the title, you can get a few bonuses that you can collect as soon as the game is available for download. You will learn everything you need to know about the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pre-Registration Process right here.
Erangle Map For Battlegrounds Mobile India Teased (Updated May 24th)
As Battlegrounds Mobile India approaches its launch, another preview for the game’s maps has been released. The map from the original PUBG title, Erangel, will be included in the latest game, according to the poster. However, if you look closely, you’ll see that the map’s name is Erangle, which may have been done on purpose or simply to distinguish the India-only game from the original game.
Update May 26th: Game Likely To Launch In Third Week Of June
Esports athlete Abhijeet Andhare, also known as @GHATAK official on Twitter, has just revealed the Battlegrounds Mobile India launch date in a tweet. After fans inquired about the game’s expected release date, he first tweeted that he would reveal it once the tweet reached over 20K likes. After achieving that goal, his next tweet stated that the game would be released by the third week of June.

So far, it’s good news that PUBG (as Battlegrounds Mobile India) is returning to India, the country with the game’s highest ever player base. Yes, there will be a Battle Key, weekly and monthly prizes, as well as other tournaments. Though it remains to be seen whether or not this edition of PUBG can make it to eSports. To be honest, I’m looking forward to trying out the new game and seeing how it goes. We’ll have to wait for further details about the release and when the game will be available for pre-registration before then.
