Fans of the Battlefield franchise are in for a treat. The trailer for the newest Battlefield game, Battlefield 2042, was recently released by EA and Dice Media. Battlefield V was released in 2018, so it’s been a while. Okay, three years. But, at long last, it’s here! The new Battlefield is set in a future environment. There’s a lot to discuss when it comes to first-person shooters. Stay tuned for further information on the Battlefield 2042 release date, gameplay footage, system requirements, and other specifics regarding the next game.
We’ll also look at the leaks that were previously disclosed to see where and how they fit into the announcement video.
Pre-orders for Battlefield 2042 are now available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Steam. A Battlefield game on the mobile platform is expected later this year or by the middle of 2022, in addition to the new battlefield game. Let’s get started on Battlefield 2042 because there’s a lot to speak about.
Battlefield 2042 Release date
The new Battlefield game will be released toward the end of 2021, as announced during EA’s Q3 earnings call. Finally, a release date has been set: October 22, 2021, just in time for the Christmas season. The Battlefield 2042 release date is universal and applies to all platforms.
Battlefield 2042 Gameplay
In terms of the Battlefield 2042 gameplay, the game is set in the year 2042. Storms, conflicts, and a lack of commodities have occurred in the future planet. With Russia and the United States warring and blaming each other for many problems, conflicts erupt and people are divided. Rather than battling and conquering a specific place, they now fight for the future they desire. It’s a war for survival, with supplies running out as the minutes tick away, and you must select a side to fight for.
Battlefield 2042 Game modes
Unfortunately, the new Battlefield lacks a campaign mode, which may turn off players who have always appreciated campaign features in previous Battlefield games. There are additional modes that we get to witness now that this is a multiplayer-only game. It’s all about complete combat, whether you’re fighting on land, air, or sea in a 128-player tournament. The conquest mode will include a 128-player combat with various types of clusters, as well as various sectors that will focus on all of the action rather than the points of the elder players.
In the Breakthrough mode, two teams, the Attackers and the Defenders, will battle it out across enormous areas. A huge number of stakeholders will be able to participate in a sector that aids in strategic planning and decision-making. There’s also a new mode dubbed the Hazard Zone that hasn’t been unveiled yet. There’s also a brand-new option to relive unexpected conflicts, which will be disclosed at a later time.
Battlefield 2042 Maps
The maps of the game are supposed to be rather large now that the game will have 128 players. So far, there are seven maps to enjoy. They all depict locations that are identical to those found in real life. Take a look at the Battlefield 2042 Maps list.
Remember when there were leaks showing a drawing of a rocket getting ready to launch? The rocket will be visible on this map, which is located near Kourou, French Guiana. At the launch base, you’ll be fighting your adversaries while the rocket prepares to launch at any moment. The adversary isn’t the only thing to worry about here; the weather plays a big part in the game, and this map contains dynamic weather, which means you’ll be up against nature’s fury.
The game’s second map pits you against the elements of wind and dust. As a result, expect poor visibility and high-speed gusts, which will be difficult for you and everyone else out there. The desert map is in Doha, Qatar, in the Arabian Peninsula, which is noted for its extreme heat and dust storms. Because of the reduced visibility, things might become even worse if you’re in the jets taking down your adversaries.
No battle is left out without it taking place in the high-rise and modernized cities. You will be battling around Songdo, South Korea’s data center. Expect most of the battles taking place in the air as you fly by in your fighter jets.
Here comes the storm again. Taking place in Brani island, Singapore, you will be greeted with all sorts of tropical storms as well as high-speed tornadoes which will create havoc for you as well as your enemies. This will be a challenging map not because of the storms but also because of the enemies coming around and messing with the supply base that sends supplies to the US.
The coastal lines and the beaches may all sound good until the storms kick in. You will be battling your enemies at a ship-breaking yard along the west coast of India at Alang. Since it’s at the beach expect sudden attacks coming from the air as well as the seas.
Here’s another dynamic map that gets as cold as it possibly can. Brave the snow and freezing temperatures at Queen Maud Land in Antarctica. Expect to cause a lot of permanent damage in the ice-cold region by destroying fuel tanks that cause widespread fires. Why would you be battling in Antarctica? It’s just for one thing- the oil which is running out of supply around the world.
Here is where the human divide can be spotted as a huge wall is built just to secure the rich folks. You will be battling in the Eastern Desert of Egypt. meaning that the desert storms are every ready to cause havoc while you will be securing access points at either side of the wall.
Battlefield 2042 Specialists
You’ll be able to pick your Specialist and build your own teams. Each specialist has a distinct characteristic and area of expertise. There are 10 different specialists to pick from, but only four have been disclosed thus yet.
Equipped with a grappling hook and is nimble enough to move faster while taking out the enemies. He fights for the non-Patriated.
2. Maria Flack
Everyone needs a medic on the squad and that’s what Maria is good at. She owns a Syrette Pistol that fires out syringes which can cause damage on firing at an enemy. She will be the one to look for in case you are low on health and need some reviving.
3. Pytor “Boris” Guskovsky
Here is the Russian man on your team. He will set up sentry guns to take out your enemies and will also let you know where and when an enemy is in close range. The most experienced weapon expert on the team.
4. Wikus “Casper” Van Dale
The man on the team will alert you when enemies are approaching you with the help of his drones and will also destroy enemy targets with EMP blasts and will also use the drones to destroy enemy weapons on the ground.
