As expected, the iOS 18.5 Release Candidate has been released to both developers and public beta testers. This means it will be released to everyone early next week, as we recently suggested in a dedicated iOS 18.5 article.
Today, Apple has also released iPadOS 18.5 RC, watchOS 11.5 RC, tvOS 18.5 RC, macOS Sequoia 15.5 RC, macOS Sonoma 14.7.6 RC, macOS Ventura 13.7.6 RC, and visionOS 2.5 RC. The iOS 18.5 Release Candidate comes with build number 22F75.
What’s New in the iOS 18.5 Release Candidate
The latest iOS 18 RC update brings some exciting new features, such as the recently announced Pride Harmony wallpapers, carrier-provided satellite feature on iPhone 13 series, and more. You can check out the full official changelog below.
This update also includes the following enhancements and bug fixes:
A new Pride Harmony wallpaper
Parents now receive a notification when the Screen Time passcode is used on a child’s device
Buy with iPhone is available when purchasing content within the Apple TV app on a 3rd party device
Fixes an issue where the Apple Vision Pro app may display a black screen
Support for carrier-provided satellite features is available on iPhone 13 (all models).
If you own an eligible iPhone model (including iPhone XR and newer) and have opted for the beta in the update page, you can install the iOS 18.5 Release Candidate on your device. To check for the update, simply navigate to Settings > General > Software Update.
The iOS 18.5 Release Candidate provides a near-final look at what users can expect in the full release. Developers are encouraged to test compatibility and performance before the public rollout.
